ADMINISTRATIVE  LAW

The firm is focused on studying and questioning of regulations, acts and rules issued by various regulatory agencies based in Brasilia, so as to optimize the activities related to products and services subject to government inspection. Furthermore, AFH provides advice and monitoring of bidding procedures, administrative lawsuits of misconduct, and public civil lawsuits. The legal advice provided by our lawyers covers the administrative demands before the Board of Tax Appeals (Conselho Administrativo de Recursos Fiscais – CARF), the
National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL), the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), the Office of Economic Law (SDE),the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Resources (IBAMA) and the National Department of Mineral Production (DNPM).

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW
Regarding matters of constitutional law, the office issues guidelines, legal opinions and advice, including preventive practices, as well as the definition of strategies relating to ongoing proceedings in accordance with case law.

ECONOMIC LAW
The Firm operates in cases of abuse of economic power and
provides the clients with in loco monitoring of processes and procedures of interest, taking immediate measures to speed up the process, whenever necessary.

MINING LAW
The Firm aims to provide assessment to companies concerning the implementation of the existing legislation on the subject, mainly as to obtaining authorizations and concessions by the National Department of Mineral Production (DNPM) related to mining law. It also provides advice and legal defense in administrative and judicial processes, especially those referring to the Financial Compensation for the Exploration of Mineral
Resources (CFEM).

LABOR and SOCIAL SECURITY LAW
The Firm provides assistance and represents their clients in labor and social security litigations. It also provides preventive advice, identifying issues and providing guidance in accordance with the current legislation.

CIVEL LAW
The Firm provides preventive legal advice in order to
assist the client in the drawing or revisions of contracts,
documents and agreements, as well as in negotiations
of conflicts involving the execution or conclusion of
legal transactions. The service rendered is dynamic and

PROPERTY LAW

The office represents clients, whether actively or preventively, in causes related to the constructor or developer’s liability; provides support in property investments, contracts, property financial system (Brazilian’s SFI), brokerage commission, expropriation, property repossession, acquisitive prescription (usucapio), tenancy and eviction, all with the purpose of bringing the best legal solution for the client.
